In the early 18th and 19th century there were many weavers in India who kept the art alive and passed it on to their children. He described the art of chikankari as a gift of God that he bestowed upon his family through 2 travellers that appeared on their doorstep one morning and taught their family the art of fine hath bunkari on soft transparent cloth. Our collection is completely inspired by his royal designs made on pure georgette fabric.
